The EMCOR Service/Mesa Energy Systems Funny Car Team presented by Thermo Power Industries locked up the 2008 CIFCA Championship by making it to the semi-finals at the 39th annual Governor's Cup in Sacramento, CA.

The team qualified in the #2 position with a 7.21. The team was able to defeat Jeff Tildahl in Dennis Murphy's Ground Zero in the Second Round to clinch the Championship.
